The Cullman County Department of Human Resources (DHR) provides food assistance to low-income individuals and families through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), formerly known as food stamps. SNAP benefits can be used to purchase food at authorized retail stores.
To be eligible for SNAP benefits, you must meet certain income and resource requirements. You must also be a U.S. citizen or a qualified non-citizen. To apply for SNAP benefits, you can either apply online or in person at your local DHR office.
